Steering Committees
The Federations mission is to bring together communities which create, evolve, adopt, use, and sustain humanitarian digital infrastructure.
To aid our work we are setting up a several multi-stakeholder Steering Committee to guide the our initiative with representatives from bilateral and multilateral donors, open source projects and experts on humanitarian aid information and transparency. Our Steering Committee is accountable directly to our membership.
Open Source Steering Committee
We bring together open source projects focused directly on solving Humanitarian Aid problems and bring in observers to knowledge share on a wide range of subjects.
Aam Digital
We are delighted that Aam Digital a social-tech start-up is part of the inaugural membership team. Their open source case management software enables organizations to digitally manage client files, reduce administrative workload and increase the sharing of information between frontline workers. Data generated by frontline workers is analysed in dashboards informing project managers. Improving monitoring and evaluation through reliable field-level data. Available as a SaaS or bespoke service.

Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Federation.
Ensure that the Federation meets the sector requirements and fully informed and supported with latest industry working practices
Ensure that the Federation adds value to existing programs and initiatives.
Collectively improve transparency of technology for the aid sector
The steering committee reports directly to the Federation of Humanitarian Aid membership
Meeting Logistics.
Steering Committee meetings will be held quarterly in English.
They will take place on video conference to reduce the environmental impact.
Participants are expected to cover their own costs.
The Federation will act as Chair and secretariat
Any minutes and outputs produced from Steering Committee meetings will be made available, except in exceptional circumstances
