A new kind of digital service for the humanitarian aid sector.

Rethinking how we build humanitarian software.

We are a network of technologists from open-source communities, NGOs, and civil society dedicated to designing, building, and maintaining critical open-source digital infrastructure needed by those working in response to humanitarian crises.

We are a democratically run membership organization dedicated to transforming the humanitarian aid sector through the development of interlinking open-source systems.

Are you interested in helping transform how aid organizations operate?

Our Services

Working with you. Directly.

Our teams of both aid sector veterans and technologists use their expertise to develop human-centered solutions for your most pressing  technical challenges. We will be there working side by side with you to streamline your programs end to end.

Maintaining & Enhancing Open Source Solutions

We work directly with our network of open-source communities to develop product road-maps driven by the needs of all users, not just the technical ones. Our unique method of democratic resource allocation, driven by our membership, can ensure that the features which need developing the most, are funded first.

We run an Open Source Advisory Committee that meets quarterly.

Empowering the whole sector.

We assist our members, both technology and humanitarian alike, in creating and funding initiatives to create standards and collaborations across sectors. From helping members identify fund raising strategies, to marketing, and coordination, we have you covered.

“Advancements in digital technology are profoundly impacting society but have been slow to reach many in the developing world.”
